MINERALS SITE ALLOCATIONS ISSUES AND OPTIONS DOCUMENT - MIN 54 - Landscape and Ecology
It is interesting to see the inept comments made by the Lomes Estate on the quarry development and the robust response of the Marlingford and Colton Parish Council. Click below and see for yourself

MINERALS SITE ALLOCATIONS ISSUES AND OPTIONS DOCUMENT - MIN 54 - Highways
It’s a little reassuring to see that the Lomes Estate have seen what a ridiculous idea using a route across the Yare Valley was, however it still means transport to and from the site will still be through narrow country lanes – There is still an estimate of a 120 HGV movements per day !!! – see below

  1. If we can't expand our local school at Easton because of insufficient road capacity, how on earth can we justify this quarry and its resulting traffic!!!!?

  2. How can they let something like this happen, Im sick of the gov and their back handers when us small fry cant do silly little adjustments to our homes etc. Easton is busy enough as it is with all the traffic from the college and surrounding villages. This has got to be stopped NOW!

  3. I don't. know how a respected person like Sir Edward Evans Lome could do this to us, I always thought he cared about conserving the Countryside, but obviously it is just money in the Bank to him and to Hell with the Peasants!
It is rumoured that he is going to live in France, and that his Son will come Home from the U.S.A. so he will not have the unpleasantness of seeing and hearing the destruction of our beautiful Valley. Shame on you Sir Edward.

  4. Sir Edward Evan Lome estate has made clear choice to put forward his land, if he cared about anything, other than his bank balance, then he wouldn't have done it. However, if the Government says he can do it, then its the Government that also holds the blame. We do have a say, lets makes sure we are heard. . . . . . . 'NO TO THE MARLINGFORD QUARRY'
